This is new.

The FMCSA has recently changed how student drivers must be drug tested.

Did you know…

Students are regulated as owner operators - they must have their own drug and alcohol policy, a negative pre-employment drug test, and be enrolled in a random testing consortium?

Students may not be tested on the same paperwork /lab account as instructors?

Students must be enrolled as a ‘Student Driver’ in the FMCSA Clearinghouse, synced with a C/TPA, and query themselves before they can get behind the wheel?

Student Driver Consortium was founded for the sole purpose of helping Independent Truck Driving Schools and their students adapt to the new regulations.
